PLEASE HELP AUGUSTO AND PEDRO IN THIS TIME OF INTERNATIONAL CRISIS
Your gift—during this unprecedented pandemic in particular—will go a very long way toward ensuring that no child is forgotten, and that no child spends her life in a darkened room. Please give the gift of light, the gift of life, a gift whose value will last forever!
We are especially hopeful that just as soon as travel is safe again, WorldCF medical director Dr. Christopher Gordon and his team—which includes Dr. Salyer and WorldCF medical director Dr. Derek Bruce—can successfully separate conjoined Guatemalan twins Augusto and Pedro at Dayton Children’s Hospital in Ohio. Just as occurred with the world-renowned and remarkably successful separation of Egyptian twins Ahmed and Mohamed in Dallas in 2003 by a team of fifty medical professionals led by Dr. Salyer, this new separation surgery will require many months of extraordinarily detailed planning. Those countless hours are already underway, and, of course, the pandemic has complicated every aspect of planning for the surgery.
Yet we are filled with hope for Augusto and Pedro, and we offer our thanks to you in advance for your financial gifts that will help make this dream come true.
