My name is Bat-Erdene Galsandovjoo. I was born in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia. I am the fifth child of six in my family.

When I was a child, my parents told me that I should become a person who helps other people. Those words influenced me to become a doctor.

In 1994, I entered Medical University of Mongolia and studied there for a year. At the end of my first year in university, I took an exam to study abroad in the field of medicine. I was lucky to pass the exam, and I gained the opportunity to study at Havana Medical University in Cuba. It was a great opportunity for me to meet new people and to receive the best medical education. I studied there successfully from 1996-2002.

After earning my degree in medicine, I trained further as a resident in plastic and reconstructive surgery in 2002.  Before this current fellowship, I have been working as a lecturer at Health Sciences University of Mongolia (HSUM) and as a doctor in the reconstructive center of HSUM since 2007.

I love my profession, and it is my deepest wish that what I do will reach the hearts of people.
